Saturday is Cakeday!


Weekend without cake just wouldn`t be right.
So, I made a yeast bundt cake, today!

You need:

500g (spelt) flour
150g butter
30 g yeast
3 dl milk
100g sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp salt
1tsp vanilla

Put the flour in a bowl.
Melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat. 
Crumble your yeast in a cup, and pour some (from the 3dl) milk over it.
Let sit for a few minutes.
Add the rest of the milk, sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla and the yeast-mixture to your melted butter.
Pour everything to the flour.
Beat your dough with a spatula, until it is well mixed and doesn`t stick to the bowl anymore.
This takes a few minutes.

Then put your dough in a buttered bundt cake pan, cover with a moist kitchen towel, and let it raise, until it comes out of the pan.


Preheat your oven to 200°C/ 390°F and bake for 30-40 minutes.
Let cool for a bit and then remove to a wire rack.


I think it tastes best, when still a little warm.
This cake is also great for breakfast or brunch, or teatime.
It is basically great for every occasion.
