Yesterday, I dyed my hair.
I decided to only dye it with henna like a year ago, because my hair was damaged from years of chemical dyeing and bleaching.
You have to get used to the henna-dyeing. There are a lot of tricks, but once you`ve figured it out, it`s perfect.
I use a color from Sante, called "nature red", which I blend with red wine, instead of water. The red wine brings out the red , which is great for me, because my hair is pretty dark.
I just work the smelly, henna-mud in my hair, which usually makes a mess in the bathroom, which I have to clean up afterwards.
Then I wrap my head with saran wrap and place myself in the sun.
The wrap holds the warmth, which brings out the red a little more.
I leave it on for about 4 hours. I found that this works best for me. But you have to try it out, it`s different for everyone.
There you go!
It`s also important to not wash your hair for 1 or 2 days, because the color gets stronger in this time.
I know, dyeing your hair with henna takes time and is smelly, but I think it`s totally worth it.
I love that it always looks so natural, suits my skin tone perfectly and makes my hair soft and strong.
